This isn’t Your Mother’s Blog
How else to refer to the online world of blogging which has become a very sophisticated communication tool for not just serious hobbyists but also marketers or information managers or authors and speakers and journalists….to name just a few reasons why blogs exist. When I started posting seriously myself , some six months ago, there was some controversy about the validity of blogs especially from mainstream media execs; but from all the research I’ve done and time spent on others blogs as well as my own, to ignore the online world of blogging is to do so at your own risk. Even, and only just now, Ad Age Daily encouraged all marketing managers to immerse themselves in the online world. I think that’s funny. What they will discover is that it’s a very sophisticated tool that has nearly become mainstream–lots of professionals are way ahead of them… A shout-out to ChrisG.com for his blog, and especially on Flagship Content. And Glenn Wolsey for helping me set this blog up and his about blogging series, and Darren Rowse of ProBlogger who’s the granddaddy of them all I think. I recommend all three for their blogging prowess if you want to know and understand anything about creating a content rich blog (hopefully I am and have learned from them too!). Each of these bloggers also has a readership that is rich in resources so I highly recommend to all that they spend time at each site with regularity if anyone wants to understand the ins and outs of the blogosphere.
Like I said, this isn’t your Mother’s Blog!
