Materials Innovation: Dark Chocolate
We are told drinking 1-2 glasses of alcohol per day is actually good for us, particularly red wine. We are also told that dark chocolate is full of antioxidants, which means it too will help us be healthy.
So, oh happy days, along comes Brix which is quite possibly some of the best dark chocolate I have had the pleasure to taste. I’ve been on a search of late for good dark chocolate as well as good chocolate to eat and pair with red wine. I discovered it myself as a combo when I’d run out of anything for a dessert. The chocolate I had was decent but not like this.
Make Brix your friend along with a good bottle of red wine and introduce them as a combo to your friends…..they’ll love you for it.
And tell them the inventor of Brix is a pulmonologist originally from Italy. Who better to understand what goes well with red wine and will be heart healthy for us?
The vp of marketing for Brix let us sample the chocolate with red wine at the show and I was sold immediately…..it’s currently available at World Market in several varieties of chocolate–dark, extra dark, and milk; packaged in a single box like a brick to be stored at room temperature (no refrigeration). Then just take a sharp tipped knife to break it into chunks.
Eat, drink and be healthy my friends for tomorrow is a good day (as well as today)!
