When all else fails, make it yourself! I’m going to try to get the image from the New York Times of Sting so everyone can compare his vee neck with the one I am going to create for myself. So we’ll just end this thing….then I’ll take it to www.Threadless.com to try to get it made. Other than that, I need to opine about the AFI’s 100 best movies that showed last night.

I watched the whole two hours as if I was going to be surprised at who showed up in the top 10….I think I got half of them right; but still Singin In the Rain? Moulin Rouge or All that Jazz didn’t bump that? And, it’s surprising to me how far down the list Titantic was and Star Wars with Schlindler’s List, which I admit, was a great movie….but so was It’s a Beautiful Life (but that was a foreign film) and Sophie’s Choice, anyway Schlinder’s List in the final 10. Movies are near and dear to my heart.

That list had a few new ones in it, definitely some greats that needed to still be on it, but we’ve had so many movies that are so great in the last 20 years surely more than a handful should have made the list. What does that say about moviemaking then today that there weren’t more on the list. I couldn’t agree more that Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz should have made the list, definitely one of the Hitchcock movies, but Vertigo?
