Anne Klein SS08 and Mondrian’s Broadway Boogie Woogie.

broadway.jpg anne-klein-ss08.jpgIt may be my imagination but I don’t think so. And if indeed Isabel Toledo got her inspiration from this painting of Mondrian, her interpretation is flawless. Ms. Toledo’s collection for Anne Klein Spring/Summer 08 was one of the strongest of the runway shows during New York’s Fashion Week.

    Hi there! What a brilliant Toledo collection! Cathy said it best, don’t you feel: upon meeting the owner of the Paris store Colette, the owner said to her that she liked Jacobs and Toledo best, and then Cathy, in her sudio commentary said: NOW WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU? A lot! And a that’s a great association - the Mondrian! Love it!

    Hi Marko. Thanks for alerting me to Cathy Horyn’s video…I so appreciated seeing her commentary, and the images of the dresses from Karan, L’Wren Scott, and Toledo were outstanding.
    Well, gotta appreciate what the owner of the great Colette in Paris has to say. I’d like to see how she will do Jacobs in her store?! Thanks for keeping me posted.
